They were pretty good a few years back. Extremely athletic. Most of their players were transfers from Africa. The report I got on them were that many were soccer players who were being taught to play basketball some over here. When we played them at Pound about 3 years back, those guys had picked up on the game real quick.
The main downside to playing them at that point (and I assume still today) is that they bring NO crowd since most of their players are transfers from other places. We wound up buying them all pizzas after the game and they hung out in the gym afterwards for 30-45 minutes.
Last year, Mount Mission was 13-12 overall with wins over Honaker, St. Paul, Holston, and Twin Valley. Their schedule shows they lost to PV by 4.
Two years ago they beat St. Paul and Castlewood.
So I don't think I would necessarily say they are traditionally terrible.

If you play them over there, be prepared for the loudest gym you have ever played in. The whole student body shows up and they cheer their butts off. Had to officiate a couple of their games there and I was in the trail..could not even here another whistle or the buzzer. The gym is a good environment..plus their gym is brand new and if you get a chance, go into their weight room. The weight room is like a small college program and in my opinion is better than Clintwood's. They have a free weight room, a machine weight section, a cardio section and a place to do plyometrics (sp). Once again...it's niccceee!!
